always been good quality while
being affordable, explains

Suzie started as a beauty
therapist, becoming a national
trainer for international skincare brands as well as teaching in colleges. I listened
to the women I met while teaching classes around the country, and wanted to create
something simple that they could use. I started my brand with a small line of brushes,
almost ten years ago now, and its grown from there.
Education is a key feature of Ayu: Suzies online tutorials (@ayumakeupireland on
Instagram) are easy to follow and down to earth. I want to give people as much help
and guidance as possible before they buy so many women have the wrong shades
in their make-up bag, or products they dont know how to use. This approach
is particularly apt for now. Working from home, people often stop looking after
themselves or wearing make-up and then find their confidence drops. With such a
focus on personal service, Ayu has become a thriving beauty community.
The Ayu HQ is based in Kildare and all products are available online at www.ayu.ie.
A pre-lockdown pop-up shop at Kildare Village was a huge success, and Suzie plans
future pop-ups. New products are on the way, too: look out for a doubleended mascara/kohl eyeliner (genius!), as well as blush, bronzer,
highlighter and new lip shades. Ayu is cruelty-free and

Suzie. Both are long-wearing and self-setting, in four initial shades. If
your base is right then everything else will come together, advises Suzie.
