A full Rolex service is a carefully choreographed manoeuvre in twelve stages. The watch is first inspected and assessed before being fully dismantled. Every individual component is ultrasonically cleaned, checked under magnification, and replaced where necessary. The movement is then reassembled, lubricated, and finely regulated for accuracy. The case and bracelet are refinished to restore the original finish, whether polished or satin. Over the years, we have seen many Rolex watches arrive in the workshop in conditions owners believed were beyond repair, pieces affected by moisture damage, heavy wear, impact damage, or simply decades without servicing. When we restore a Rolex like this, it is never just about mechanics or finishing, explains OConnell.
